Bio ... I have been a software consultant in Washington state for many years, developing software professionally for nearly 25 years. I am well versed in HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Ajax, PHP7, MySQL, and Linux. Over the years I have developed in: C, C++, Java, PHP, C#, Flash Actionscript, Flex MXML, and others. I am accomplished in the design and development of Relational Databases. I develop primarily on Linux and Mac machines. "Sorry Bill, you're a great salesman, but your OS is a sluggish, bloated Sloth." Though I am a back-end server guy first, I have built several responsive sites. I am well-versed in jQuery and Bootstrap and am very comfortable doing UI work. I am very familiar with Linux and common dev apps. i.e. tar, sftp, ssh, vim, etc. When working with a remote team, I use git for configuration management. I have many years of experience in OOP and MVC development. In the PHP world, I use the Laravel framework (have used CodeIgniter also) as well as my own home-grown MVC frameworks when it makes more sense. My earlier development years were spent in corporate environments but have been mostly contracting/consulting for the past 20 years. I have worked for may large, well-known companies including: McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, where I wrote code for the Apache Helicopter flight simulator. I have done work for Microsoft, Mattel Toy Company, Aflac, Intel, Goodwill Industries, Proctor & Gamble, Wacom, and many others.
